Biography
Carrie Blanchard is a Director within Value Evidence. She is a pharmacist, implementation researcher and experienced public health practitioner who brings a diverse skillset ranging from leading the COVID-19 immunization rollout in North Carolina to pioneering pharmacy service models in academic and clinical settings as well as experience evaluating complex systems transformation and value-based care models.
Prior to joining AESARA, Carrie served as the Director of North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) Immunization Branch, where she led the strategy, operations, and execution of the CDC’s Vaccine for Children Program, the NC COVID-19 vaccine program and responses to other emerging vaccine preventable diseases. She was also an assistant professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy where she conducted research focused on how to implement and scale medication optimization services and value-based care models to impact health outcomes, address population health needs and effectuate policy change. Carrie completed a fellowship in Implementation Science and received her Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters of Public Health from the University of North Carolina.

My letter
I chose the Greek letter Delta to symbolize myself and my career as I feel it speaks to my ability to adapt and evolve with different challenges or changing environments. Just as Delta signifies transformation, I’ve embraced change as a catalyst for growth both professionally and personally. Its triangular form symbolizes my varied experiences and perspectives as an academic, health policy practitioner and consultant, which all converge to guide my professional journey forward. For me, Delta is a powerful emblem of resilience, versatility, and the positive momentum I carry into every new opportunity.
